Landscapes from the Mont-Noir to the Artois Hills |
Further than pure geological observations, this journey intends to visit most regional landscapes (excluding the coast and the Ardennes hills). It will be possible to decipher in the landscape historical occupation marks and to see how human societies permanently adapt to an evolving territory. The first stop will be along the Belgian border at le Mont-Noir, the Bailleul, Merville,n Robecq, Bruay-La Buissière, Pernes-en-Artois, and Bours. The return way will use the A21 and A1 highways. This will be the occasion to discuss what is at stake with the project of a large-scale canal linking Northern France and the Paris Region. This field trip is co-leaded by the CAUE-59).
This field trip, mostly presented in French, welcomes foreigners for those special attention will be observed.
